Winter in Ukraine

Oops, it seems to be very cold in Ukraine now. I can hardly remember such a snowy and cold winter in Nikolaev and other southern parts of the country. So, coming to Ukraine don’t forget warm clothing and find a good accommodation and transportation. Don’t stay in the streets for too long. There are some people being frozen to death in northern parts of Ukraine. Don’t drink to much alcohol if you are outside. That’s dangerous.

There are no bad or good agencies, they all use the same scheme. On their website there are girls who really want to meet, and those who work there and have no desire to marry a foreigner and leave the country. They just earn money.
Many profiles are moderated by one person. He just responds to the letters instead of the girls who you see in the photographs. This is what I call Russian roulette. There may be three real of the ten girls and if you’re lucky, you will meet the real one, but if not, then you’ll just waste your money and time.
I usually suggest to foreigners not to rely on the agencies. Look for real women on local Ukrainian Personals sites. There you can create a profile for free and choose from millions of girls. I can tell you more about this.

Find the best accommodation in any Ukrainian city

Usually foreigners use hotels when they come to Ukraine. Hotels are rather nice in big cities and expensive as well. In smaller cities they are awful sometimes and the price doesn’t correspond the quality of service and rooms. More experienced travellers book apartments. They have for much lower price several furnished rooms with kitchen and bathroom in the centre of the city. The flat is equipped with all appliances and it’s much more convenient than a room in a hotel and twice cheaper. We will help you to get the best accommodation in any city of Ukraine.

Transportation inside Ukraine

One of the most convenient and comfortable transport to travel inside Ukraine is a car. But this is the most expensive one. E.g. a trip from Nikolaev to Odessa costs from 80 t 110 dollars. You will spend $250-400 to go by taxi from Kiev to Nikolaev.

You can also use planes. It is fast but usually airports are far from cities and someti mes taxi drivers charge too much to take you from the airport to the city.

The trains and buses are awful. Trains mostly don’t have air conditioning. It works only when the train is running fast. You can’t open the window in the train, they are rather slow and have too many stops while the trip. Buses – too hot, rather slow, very uncomfortable. But they are faster than trains.

Find an Interpreter

If you are an experienced traveller you can always find understanding with locals even if they don’t speak English. But there are some situations when an interpreter is necessary. When you meet women from agencies they usually take their own interpreters and they charge as much as they can. And you don’t have the opportunity to say “no”.

The interpreter has to be a person who works for you. Somebody who corresponds only your interests, somebody you can trust to. This person can help you not only in translations. Your interpretor is your guide in a foreign country.
